Journal #6 The Golden Circle

Old word: obscure    New word: discovery

My project idea is to help keep non-for profit organizations on an innovative and successful path towards the future, by providing them with a magazine resource that will keep them updated on digital media and ways to explore the digital media world to use as a driving force for their mission.

I think that my project idea starts in the inner “why?” circle. It starts from the inner circle, because I believe that community involvement is essential to everyday survival; and non for-profits are the leading force in community involvement. It is imperative for non-profits to thrive in the future because if they fail, due to lack of support, then many of the necessary services that they provide for the public will no longer be available.  I think that discovery fits into the “why?” inner circle. I believe that in order to create something you have to discover something. Discovery means to me, the exploration of something, or tapping into something, and experiencing it. When you experience something, you have the opportunity to become more knowledgeable and so inspired by the subject, that it motivates you.

My personal goals that I have established for myself after I complete this project, is to do exactly what I chose for my word, to discover. I think the more that I pursue what I am passionate about, the more I can learn, experience, and create, so that I can find my purpose in life. I have many business ideas that I would love to create and implement into something more, but the thought of starting a new project and the acceptance of it can be very intimidating. I hope after this project, I can gain the drive and the confidence I need to take a chance and do what I always wanted to do.

I think that my goals obtain to my project, because it is something that I am passionate about. I think that developing this project will be a stepping-stone to actually obtaining my goals.
