Today was a very interesting and informative day. We talked a lot about
what the objectives of the class are so I learned that this was no longer a
preparatory capstone class. I also learned for the first time that capstone
proposals were due the semester before graduation during midterms, which was
kind of scary. We discussed a lot about how we begin brainstorming ideas by
first finding out a problem and thinking of a possible solution. This technique
was very helpful for me because I am still unsure on what exactly I want to do
for my capstone project. After going around the room, introducing ourselves and
speaking on our goals for taking this class, I found out there were still other
students whom were also still unsure on what they wanted to do for their
capstones. It was kind of a relief to find out that I was not the only person
that still needed to work out an idea. Overall, what I learned most in class
today was that graduation is right around the corner and I need to get the ball
rolling in planning my capstone project.
